Our Winemaker

At a young age, Chelsea Hoff discovered her fervor for winemaking after her family relocated from Minneapolis to the renowned Napa Valley. Immersed in the family winery, she found herself captivated by the intricate process of creating exceptional wines to commemorate life's most cherished moments.

Eager to further her knowledge, Chelsea attended the University of California, Davis, where she studied enology and viticulture. Her pursuit of excellence led her to work harvests in Italy, Bordeaux, and Australia, which gave her the opportunity to learn various winemaking techniques from around the world. In 2016, inspired by her diverse experiences, Chelsea founded Fearless Wines, which achieved instant success as the first vintage sold out upon release.

Recognizing her potential to make a more significant impact on the global wine industry, Chelsea shifted her focus to redefine sustainable winemaking by collaborating with local communities. In 2018, she initiated the development of Lohas Wines, an organization committed to promoting local endeavors with worldwide implications.

By concentrating on lesser-known fruit varietals that offer rich and savory flavors comparable to their more famous counterparts, Chelsea harnessed the exceptional growing conditions in southeast Spain to produce delectable wines at a fraction of the cost of other producers. This innovative approach not only supports a community of growers, but also respects the environment by employing eco-friendly practices from vineyard to table.
